5 things I am thankful for, and 5 I could do without.

I am thankful for...(in no particular order)
1. A wood stove
2. Preschool scholarships
3.Dane's healthy kidneys
4.Finding somewhere to play volleyball
5.The Ensign and the inspired words in there

Never will I be thankful for...
1.Barbie doll-like women who want to run everything and have people believe they are "the perfect mom" gag me!
2.A recession
3.The kids or "kid" breaking our Wii and the 60 bucks to get it fixed
4.Ants
5.Having to work and miss out on a lot of family stuff-although I am thankful to even have a job, just not thankful to have to work.

And on another note...
I have run out of books to read, since I haven't had any recommendations, so I have created a list of classics to read, you know the ones that we were forced to read in high school, that I wish I was actually into? I started thinking since I love to read now, it will make these books more enjoyable. I have stared with Wuthering Heights and it is pretty comically written. It is still hard for me to understand the language of the era, but I find it more enjoyable now. If anyone has a recommendation of a great classic book to add to my list, or just a great book in general, let me know. I would appreciate it. Happy reading.

I hear you on the ants...ours are the infamous fire ants. Not only do they sting but leave welts as well. They serve no purpose but to torment my poor children, who have been bit too many times to count.

Hey - I didn't know you had a blog! I am so with you on the ants and the recession. UGH. I don't know what kind of books you like to read - but I really like James Rollins - sort of action adventure. I have read one of Jack DeBrul's books and really liked it, he is in the same category. I actually could give you a few authors names in that category if you like that sort of thing. I could also reccommend some church fictional books too, mostly historical fiction if you like that.

I love that you wrote both the thankfuls and not so thankfuls, because there is alway plenty of both!

Okay, so blogging is a feast or famine thing here... LOL, me too.
I hate ants... I'm battling them right now. The recession stinks for our family too. I'm trying to find books right now too... so share if you find any great ones.
Great to see you on Sunday!

During these hard times I am grateful I am a member of the LDS church! It's a light in the dark.

One of my favorite authors is Shannon Hale. I love her style of writing. 'The Goose Girl' series is really fun! I enjoyed 'Austenland' but I love Jane Austen Books. You can't go wrong with any of her books.

I like this post because it lets us into your head right now for a little peek. This book isn't a classic, but I LOVED it. It's called The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. It's young adult fiction, but a great, sad, tragic and amazing read. The only thing you have to know before you read it is that the narrator is death. Otherwise it's a bit confusing at the beginning.

I have a few novels on hand that I think you'll enjoy. I'll bring them down on Friday. :)

I totally agree with you on both lists. I am SO thankful to have healthy kids. When I think about money issues, that is always something that comes back to me, my family is healthy.

oh- the barbie doll comment- totally get- but what do you mean when you say "run everything" do you mean- literally running- or running like being in charge? Now you've got me curious- and i need the answer!
